This exhibit focuses on the last 175 years of Merrill's existence. Started as the Town of Jenny in 1847 when Andrew Warren brought settlers here to build the Merrill Dam. This community grew and prospered when the railroad was brought to town in 1881 by the General Manager of the Chicago, Milwaukee, & St. Paul Railroad - Sherburne S. Merrill. The effect of having the railroad on the logging and other industries in town was a deciding factor in becoming a City and renaming the community Merrill.

We tell the story of Merrill's community pride through the local businesses that have helped to shape our city. Also people instrumental in the Merrill Historical Society, and some of the famous people that got their start in Merrill. This exhibit will be up until mid-October.
